Mah Sing Group’s Hot Air Balloon Fiesta Shows Off What Southville City Has To Offer

Mah Sing Group (Mah Sing) organised a Hot Air Balloon Fiesta which provided free rides to hop on a hot air balloon as an innovative way to show the advanced development progress of the Group’s biggest township in the central region at Southville City, Bangi.

Some 3,000 visitors thronged the sales gallery over the 3-day-long weekend (30 April – 2 May) and were treated with delicious refreshments from a variety of food trucks, as well as complimentary caricature and face painting sessions.

Many not only got to enjoy the complimentary hot air balloon rides but also had a chance to have a bird’s eye view of the development progress of the self-sustaining township.

Mah Sing’s Southville City@KL South aspires to create a cohesive master planned township which delivers a conducive and safe environment with convenient accessibility. In keeping with its lush green concept, Mah Sing is only developing 50 per cent of the 428 acres. The remaining land will be left in its natural green with landscaping facilities such as a river boardwalk and jungle trek. The township also aims to draw both multi-generation living and the working community.

Speaking at the event, James Bruyns, Director of Sales and Marketing said “Southville City@KL South is a gated and guarded integrated township which promotes urban lifestyle just outside the city center. In addition to affordable living in an exclusive setting, we also provide vast greenery in our township.”

The entire development has a gross development value (GDV) of RM11.1billion comprising a total of seven phases. In addition, the 10 acres Summit Park will also be completed and ready to be enjoyed by the community moving into Southville City by 2017.

On Track or Early Delivery for Phase 1 & 2

Phase 1

Phase 1 of the development comprises Savanna Executive Suites, Lifestyle Shops, and Boulevard Shops. Savanna Executive Suites is a freehold 3-bedroomhome with built-up starting from 956 sq ft. It is complemented with an extensive facilities deck such as swimming pool, Aqua gym, Reflexology park,BBQ area, children’s playground, water play area,sun deck, maze garden, multipurpose hall, nursery area and more.

The retail component of the development comprises Lifestyle Shops, situated at Ground Floor and Level 1 of The Savanna with built-up starting from 2,461 sq ft, and stand-alone Boulevard Shops which consists of 4 blocks of a 3-storey building with built-up starting from 4,593 sq ft situated adjacent to The Savanna. The construction of Southville City’s Direct Interchange will connect the development with its surrounding educational, industrial and residential neighbourhood within Bangi and beyond. It will shorten the distance from Kuala Lumpur to 19km. The construction work is in rapid progress and is scheduled for early completion by the end of 2017.

Phase 2

Phase 2 comprises Avens Residence, the only link home with24-hour gated community in Southville City@KL South. The development offers112 units of 2½-storey link homes with built-up starting from 2,988 sq ft and 84 units of 3-storey link homes with built-up starting from 3,438 sq ft.

Construction work is currently at 67% completion. The 2½-storey link homes are undergoing external infrastructure work while 3-storey link homes are at its wall finishing stage. The development is targeting for VP in 2017.

Upcoming Investment Opportunities

Southville City’s upcoming phase, Cerrado will feature freehold residential suites, adding growth opportunity to the development. Targeted to be launched at the end of June, the Cerrado Residential Suites has four towers with a total 1,616 units, 48 retail shop lots and 10 units of poolside cabanas, and is only 3km to Bangi KTM Station and 8km to UKM KTM Station.
