The Ministry of Federal Territories has earmarked RM11 million for building Phase II of the Pudu Ulu Recreational Park in Cheras, according to a Bernama report.
This follows the November 2007 completion of Phase I, which measures 12 hectares. In comparison, the second phase spans 13 hectares and is targeted for completion by August 2016.
Facilities in Phase II include a public paddling pool for children, as well as the main plaza is capable of holding wedding receptions.
Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said the Pudu Ulu Recreational Park is envisioned to be a public park with various recreational facilities.
“In carrying out development, the government never forgets to add more green areas like this in the city for the people’s convenience,” he said during the groundbreaking ceremony for the second phase of the project held today in Kuala Lumpur.
