SEREMBAN, Jan 20 — Construction of the Seremban Sentral PR1MA apartment project, which never began since it was launched in Sept 2014 due to land transfer issues, has finally taken off the ground.

Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said PRIMA had to negotiate and reach an agreement on land ownership with the Railway Assets Corporation (RAC) which had earlier valued the land at a much higher price

“The land transfer issue has been finally resolved with RAC,” he said after chairing the state executive committee meeting here today.

The project is a public and private collaboration, between PR1MA, Public Private Partnership Unit, RAC, Malayan Railway, state government and private developer, Brunsfield International Group.

Phase one of the project would be ready between 24 months and 30 months.

“We have also been requested to scale down the number of units by the state government from 3,000 units to 2,000 units and amend the project plan.

The project will now consist of a minimum two-room apartment as studio apartments were viewed as not suitable,” he said.

The project, sprawled over 23 hectares, adopts an urban living concept that provides affordable apartments and is equipped with public amenities, office buildings, shopping centre, medical facilities, educational campus, hotel and recreational parks.
